Keith Bennett FCOptom
Keith Bennett was born in Bradford
and studied Optometry at Bradford University qualifying in
1967. Keith has worked in the Eye department at the
Bradford Royal Infirmary since 1969 on a sessional basis.
He gained experience in fitting contact lenses by supervising
undergraduate and postgraduate students at the University
for about 12yrs and lately fitting lenses for the hospital
in medical cases.
Keith takes part in the Bradford Glaucoma Monitoring scheme,
Diabetic screening programme, pre and post operative Cataract
Schemes.
Keith has been Secretary of Bradford Local optical Committee
for a number of years. He examines for the College of Optometrists
and takes an interest in further education.
Hobbies include wine tasting, mountain biking (gentle) and
windsurfing.
Ruth
Wint BSc(Hons) MCOptom
Originally from Derbyshire, Ruth graduated
from UMIST and completed her professional training at Leeds
General Infirmary in 1998. She has worked for Keith
Bennett Optometrist since she qualified. Ruth spends time
between the Thornton and Cleckheaton practises alongside employment
at Leeds General Infirmary, where she specialises in contact
lens work and glaucoma screening.
Additionally Ruth is involved in the supervision and training
of pre-registration Optometrists. She also works on a sessional
basis in the ophthalmology clinic at Westwood Park Clinic,
Bradford.
Ruth is registered on the Bradford diabetic and glaucoma
monitoring schemes and pre and post operative cataract schemes.
Past experience includes tutoring at Bradford University.
Ruth has a keen interest in gardening, music and holidaying!
